Back to school: Setting up for success in the new academic year

Moving into the new academic year, there’s a lot to think about - but a little preparation can go a long way in setting yourself and your students up for success.

In this webinar, we’ll explore the important concepts of academic integrity and similarity matching that should be discussed with students when setting your classroom norms and expectations. We'll demonstrate how to use Turnitin’s tools as one part of your toolkit to encourage and ensure academic integrity in the classroom. We’ll also look at some resources developed by Turnitin’ s Teaching and Learning Innovations team, and discuss how they can be leveraged to support your conversations with students.

What we’ll cover:
  • Talking to students about academic integrity
  • Implementing an academic integrity policy in the classroom
  • Introducing students to the similarity report
  • Preparing your assignments ahead of time
  • Utilising Turnitin’s lesson plans and resources to support your activities in the classroom
